3.4.3 Use

The operation of the CS500 is fully automatic and no user action is required. The appropriate operating instructions

are included in the METSTAT datalogger program.

3.4.4 Maintenance

The CS500 only requires minimal maintenance, as follows:

• DuringeachvisittotheMetStation,checkiftheradiationshieldisfreefromdustanddebris;

• Eachtwoyears,replacethehumiditychip(contactCampbellScientific).

3.4.5 Trouble Shooting

Problem 1: Temperature and or Relative Humidity values are zero.

Remedy 1.1: Check if all CS500 wires are properly connected to the CR10X wiring panel. The reader is referred

to table 1 in paragraph 2.2, and Annex 2, for the correct wiring of the CS500 to the CR10X.

Remedy 1.2: Re-load METSTAT following the instructions given in paragraph 2.5.
